Solos & Duets: A Shared Program of works by Louise Benkelman, Alexis Carpenter, Brush/McGrath (works), and Amber Sloan

LOUISE BENKELMAN is a dancer, choreographer, performance curator, and part-time bookkeeper who graduated magna cum laude with honors from Roger Williams University, holding a BA in Dance Performance. Louise performs and tours with rhythm-theatre dance company The Bang Group, and has created solo works and duets with fellow TBG dancer Tommy Seibold for venues such as Judson Memorial Church, WestFest Dance Festival, Arts On Site, and Gibney. Louise is also a performance curator for Arts On Site, a female led non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting artists throughout New York City and upstate.

ALEXIS CARPENTER, based in Brooklyn, graduated from Roger Williams University with a degree in Dance Performance Studies & Communication. She’s had the opportunity to collaborate with incredible artists, including K.J. Holmes, Melody Ruffin Ward, Alexander Whitley, Tiffany Mills, Christina Robson, and Jean Abreu.
