About the Event
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Grace Yi-Li Tong (she/her) is an Asian-American movement and performance artist from the Pacific Northwest. Her work ridiculously collages “regular” events onstage to decontextualize bodily and social identity, lineage, Mother Earth relationships, and comedy. In 2021, Grace graduated summa cum laude from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with her BFA in Dance with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her work has since been selected for the Emerging Choreographer Series 2022, Made by Women Festival 2021, The Craft NY 2021, and more.
New York City based emerging dance artists, Olivia Passarelli and Sophie Gray-Gaillard, began collaborating in 2021 to form five two Dance Company. Olivia received her BFA in Dance from Montclair State University, and Sophie graduated with a double major in Neuroscience and Dance from Swarthmore College.
